Intricately-carved wooden doors from Timor open up to the garden of Villa Madura, hidden away from the crowds in the centre of Seminyak. An all-white traditional Balinese house catches your eye immediately when entering the compound and everything is so wonderfully tropical and natural. The French owner turned a simple, old Balinese house in this beautiful luxury villa, featuring gorgeous custom-designed furniture, indigenous artwork, designers lamps and rugs. This villa has a soul, it exudes French sophistication and it's facilitated with modern luxury, yet, it hasn’t lost its Balinese charm. The garden is surrounded by white walls that reflect the sunlight in the daytime and it is planted with all kinds of tropical greens including swaying palms and frangipani trees. The pool looks most inviting with crystal clear waters glancing in the sun. Two sunbeds have been placed in the water of the pool for the ultimate tropical sunbathing session. Alternatively, the shallow area makes a perfect little kids pool for families traveling with young children. In the corner of the garden, there is a stylish lounge corner, perfect for sipping some cocktails out of the sun or reading a book with a cup of coffee in the morning before plunging into the refreshing water of the pool. The living room is spacious and designed beautifully with custom furnishings and decorations. The pavilion still has a traditional design: open-plan and topped by a soaring white-painted rattan rooftop. There are two chic rattan sofas where you can get comfy between handmade cushions and sit back to watch a movie on the Samsung Flat-screen TV. There are plenty of choices as the cable TV features 77 international channels as well as a DVD-player. Meals are enjoyed at the free-form tamarind-wood dining table for 6 and the kitchen comes with a bar and high chairs, creating another nice place to have drinks with loved ones. The kitchen is equipped with a stove, oven, microwave and all the kitchen utensils you may need. There is even a typical French Billot (a butcher table with a set of professional chef’s knives) and there is a fully-stocked wine rack for those lovely evenings filled with good music, great company, wine and canapes.

All three bedrooms at Villa Madura are fully air-conditioned and equipped with a safety box to store valuable items. Every room is fitted with a comfy queen-size bed and each is adjoined by a private en-suite bathroom.
